Could We Start Again, Please?
The Internet has changed quite a bit in the 2 years since my major initiative on this site. But even with all the changes, there is cause for optimism!
What has changed in 2 years:
Twitter, Facebook, and “Web 2.0″ and Social Media are all the rage. Blogs have supplanted most traditional hand-coded HTML sites. Video has risen to prominence as a way to attract and keep visitors. Much more has happened, of course, but these are important starting points.
What has stayed the same:
Several web design and income strategies still remain strong and vibrant:
1. You can still make a decent living as an affiliate marketer. In other words, you can do very well promoting other people’s products and taking a commission off the top. Clickbank is still a great place to begin.
2. Inbound links to a website still count as an measure of success for a site, especially if the inbound link has appropriate keywords in the link text. Whether the links come from one-way links on other sites, or through article marketing, or via link networks, inbound links still count.
3. The rules of Search Engine Optimization still work. All rules should be followed as closely as possible. They simply help make your page appear relevant for the keywords you are seeking.
Here I am two years older, somewhat wiser, and ready to begin anew as an affiliate marketer.
My new plan for generating $500/month involves the following components:
- simple landing pages
- blogging
- video
- SEO
- inbound links
- article marketing
- some Web 2.0 components
I will be following a preset system of instructions which I recently purchased and that incorporates all of the atove.
I will be following the system outlined by Shannon Lueck on her website: http://www.videocashexplosion.com. More details soon as we begin!
